Role Summary

‍
The Human Resources Compliance Manager will be a critical member of our company, responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local labor and employment laws, regulations, and industry standards. You will work with our executive team and outside legal counsel to oversee all human resources compliance functions and employee relations, company policies and procedures, and internal audits.

You will post and manage job openings and applications and coordinate with various departments at PhotoDay to vet candidates and guide the hiring process.

You will evaluate, recommend, and implement improvements to current processes, create or update policies and procedures, and periodically audit records to ensure current and ongoing compliance.

You will have the responsibility to ensure that PhotoDay is adhering to applicable labor and employment legal standards and internal company policies, and will provide guidance on all compliance matters related to employees and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

‍

• Manage job postings and the hiring process.
• Ensure full compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies related to employees and contractors.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for employees and contractors
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify any potential compliance issues and develop action plans to address them.
• Stay up-to-date on changes in employment laws and regulations and communicate any necessary changes to the executive team in a timely manner.
• Train and educate employees and managers on compliance policies and procedures.
• Investigate and resolve any complaints or issues related to HR compliance.
• Monitor and maintain accurate records and documentation to demonstrate compliance with all laws and regulations
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure all company practices align with HR compliance standards
• Communicate and advise company leadership on any potential risks or areas of improvement for HR compliance
• Act as a resource and provide guidance to employees and managers on HR compliance matters
• Identify and implement best practices for promoting a positive and ethical work culture
• Ensure confidentiality and sensitivity in handling all HR compliance matters
• Work closely with legal counsel to ensure compliance with all legal requirements
• Participate in HR meetings and initiatives to provide insight and expertise on HR compliance matters

Qualifications

‍

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Human Resources, or a related field required.
• 5 plus years within a Human Resources or Legal department, working in an audit or compliance capacity.
• Knowledge of identifying human resources compliance risk and providing methods to mitigate risk.
• Experience and understanding of key federal and state employment laws, including without limitation, Title VII, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, etc.
• Experience and understanding of how to properly onboard employees, including without limitation completing the Form I-9 and E-Verify processes and recordkeeping requirements associated with same.
• Experience and understanding of handling employee background checks.
• Capable of developing a short and long-range plan for areas of responsibility
• Ability to work onsite full-time.
• Strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset.
• Ability to comprehend and follow complex instructions.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools and software.

Your primary mission will be to drive the effectiveness, efficiency and growth of our Support Team. You will start by managing six support representatives, two of whom are team leads for our two audiences: Studio Users and their Customers. You will report to the Director of Success and will be their trusted partner in defining the Support Team objectives, strategy, goals, and in implementing processes that scale.

Key Responsibilities

‍

Team Leadership

• Guide and mentor the Support teams (Studio Success + Customer Care) to deliver excellent service while supporting end-users through live chat, e-mail, virtual meets or phone calls
• Oversee the smooth everyday running of these teams ensuring adequate coverage and workload distribution
• Encourage open communication, collaboration, and knowledge sharing among team members
• Coordinate with Director of Success for hiring needs and team scaling

‍

‍Performance Management

• Set clear performance expectations and KPI metrics for team members, aligning them with departmental and organizational OKRs
• Conduct regular check-ins and performance reviews for direct reports, identifying weaknesses and offering coaching and mentoring in areas that require it
• Compile reports on CS KPIs, communicate findings and respond to any requests for data that are required for analysis by the Director of Success
• Recognize and reward team members for their contributions and achievements, including producing a monthly Support Team report to share wins with the internal team

‍

Relationship Management

• Act as a team escalation option for conversations containing high-level issues and concerns, syncing with the appropriate teams or resources to resolve
• Engage our community in our Facebook Users Group alongside the Support Team and Community Manager
• Naturally develop relationships with end-users including through attendance of our conferences, tradeshows
  and meet-ups where relevant
• Effectively team up with other internal departments to establish consistency in both support and culture

‍

Training and Development

• Identify training needs and opportunities for skills enhancement within the support team
• Partner with the Product Support Manager for training on new features and product changes
• Manage and refine the Onboarding program for new team members
• Partner with other team leaders to facilitate continuous learning and skill building for the Support Team

‍

Process Improvement

• Create quality control checks and edit or build team processes if necessary, identify and highlight best practices for team leads
• Create and monitor trend reports to forecast process requirements using topic commonalities and conversation metrics
• Ensure optimization of help desk automation tools (bots, workflows), working with the Director of Success to implement change

‍

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Communications, Education or a related field
• Proven experience in a Support role, with at least 2 years of experience managing a team of 5+ reports
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
• Adaptable to change and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Confidence and creativity in problem-solving and decision-making
• Open to travel when needed - less than 10%; travel opportunities include Trade Shows, industry Event, and meetings at our Florida HQ
  
• Experience with support tools and systems (e.g., help desk, ticketing systems, CRM software)
• Prior experience with Intercom help desk preferred but not required

The successful candidate will be adept at using tools like Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom to produce high-quality, retouched images. A keen eye for detail and a comprehensive knowledge of photo-editing techniques are crucial for this role.

Background Removal

• Efficiently remove and replace backgrounds from images without compromising the main subjects.

Face and Skin Retouching

• Delicately remove blemishes and wrinkles while preserving natural features such as moles, freckles, and fine skin textures.
• Ensure that retouching remains consistent and realistic, avoiding an over-processed look.

Spill Correction

• Clean up any spills or stains on clothing and skin to present subjects in the best light.

Color Correction

• Adjust images to correct for varying tones, light temperatures, and color imbalances.
• Ensure photos maintain a consistent and desired look across sets or series.

Special Corrections

• Remove braces, correct red-eye effects, teeth whitening, teeth straightening, and other specific image alterations as required.

Glass Glare Removal:

• Expertly reduce or eliminate glare from eyeglasses, ensuring the eyes are visible and natural-looking.

Sharpen/Enhance:

• Intelligently apply sharpening techniques to emphasize details without introducing noise or artifacts.
• Enhance overall image quality to bring out the best in every photograph.

Food/Drool Retouching for Children:

• Remove or reduce food remnants and drool on children's faces and clothing, ensuring a clean and polished look.

Culling Images

• Review large sets of images to select the best ones, considering factors like focus, composition, expression, and lighting. Discard or set aside less optimal images for potential future use or upon client request.

Qualifications:

• A diploma or degree in Photography, Graphic Design, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in image editing and retouching.

The Data Labeler is a critical member of our Machine Learning Team, responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of image data. This role will be pivotal in reviewing, refining, and labeling image data to train and test our machine learning models.

We’re looking for an experienced senior software engineer to help build and grow our platform.

What you would be doing:

• Planning and building new features
• Maintain and support existing features and codebase

• Designing and architecting systems for simplicity, optimization and scale
